Our admissions process

Preschool tours and open houses

Open houses are scheduled every two to three months. Please check our calendar for the next open house date and time. You can also schedule a tour if there is an opening and your child is ready to start immediately. Parent’s tours are conducted by appointment only. Please call us to schedule a tour. We usually allow one or two families at a time. We also ask you to minimize disturbance to the children by observing quietly while inside the classroom. Person leading the tour will make sure there is an opportunity for you to ask questions. If you would like to apply after touring the school, please download parent handbook.

Application Process and Interview

After reading parent handbook, you may submit an application together with family interview information and $100 non-refundable processing fee made payable to Urban Sprouts Inc. The family is then invited for a visit to determine the appropriateness of placement given child’s individual needs. We believe that school should be an extension of the family and we hope that our school philosophy is consistent with your family values.

We would like to ensure that our school is a good fit for your family. We ask that all immediate family members be present at this initial meeting. Admissions are made without regard to race, religion, or nationality. Admission placements are made with consideration to creating a developmental continuum that will facilitate peer relationships and gender balanced groups. Preference is given to siblings. Most openings occur in the Fall but we will fill vacancies should they occur mid year.


After you have been admitted, please read about your child's first day at Urban Sprouts.

On your child's first day of school you will also need to bring the following:
1. Admission Agreement
2. Consent for emergency treatment
3. Physician's Report(to be completed by your child's doctor)
4. Handbook Receipt
5. Field trip permission
6. Inappropriate behavior policy
7. Preadmission health history
8. Optional: Permission to use pictures and video
9. Deposit
10. First month tuition
